System integrations
Connect the systems your business already uses so approved information can move securely without repeated copying.
The problem
Information is held in several systems but must be copied manually because the systems do not share statuses, customer information or tasks in a controlled way.
Typical manual tasks
- Registering customer and case data more than once
- Checking status manually across several systems
- Copying documents or references
Workflow
How these tasks can be completed with less manual work.
Before
- 1The same information is entered into several tools
- 2Changes must be checked and updated manually
- 3Errors are discovered late because the systems show different statuses
After
- 1Approved data is transferred according to defined rules
- 2Updates are tracked and validated
- 3Errors stop the process safely and notify the right person
When systems do not share information
A CRM, accounting system, industry-specific platform and task tool may all be good choices, but still create a great deal of manual work when information stops between them.
NordSkift clarifies which information should be held in each system and how the necessary information can move safely between them.
Before we connect the systems
We clarify:
- which system is the source of truth for each piece of information
- which data actually needs to move
- whether the systems offer secure and permitted ways to connect them
- how sign-in and access should be restricted
- how duplicates, missing data and conflicts should be handled
- who is notified if the transfer stops
What can be delivered
- a documented data flow between agreed systems
- secure authentication in the environment where the solution runs
- validation of information before it is created or updated
- duplicate checks where the available data supports them
- logging without unnecessary personal data
- notifications and an agreed plan for resolving errors
- testing of standard transfers and relevant exceptions
Access and data security
The solution should only have access to what it needs, and accounts should belong to the business rather than an individual. Passwords and other secrets must not be stored in the browser or Git. We also clarify which personal data is processed and whether agreements with suppliers need to be updated.
What you receive
A specific system connection that moves the agreed information and makes errors visible. If a system cannot be connected in a stable and permitted way, we do not recommend an unsafe workaround.
Common questions
Can every system be integrated?
No. A lack of technical access, supplier terms, security requirements or unreliable information can make connecting systems inappropriate.
Can the integration write back to both systems?
This is possible in some cases, but increases the risk of conflicts. It must be clear which system is the source of truth and how updates should be handled.
Who owns the integration after delivery?
Before delivery, we clarify responsibility for the solution, its operation, accounts and access. The business should control the central accounts and information.
Next step
Find out what you can automate first.
Describe one recurring task and the systems you use. We assess whether it can be automated, what must be reviewed and what the next step should be.
